Professional profile
Dr. Anna Fukasová is a specialist in the field of nuclear medicine. She completed her medical studies at the Jessenius Faculty of Medicine in Martin. She passed the specialization exam in the field of nuclear medicine at the Slovak Medical University in cooperation with the clinical department – St. Elizabeth’s Oncology Institute in Bratislava in 2015.
Dr. Anna Fukasová is an experienced nuclear medicine physician with extensive experience in the field. She currently works as a specialist physician at the Department of Nuclear Medicine at Martin University Hospital.
She began her medical career by obtaining the title of MUDr. at the Jessenius Faculty of Medicine in Martin, Comenius University in Bratislava. Already during her studies, she was more inclined towards the so-called “interprofessional”, which determined her future specialization. She began her professional practice as a secondary physician at the Department of Nuclear Medicine, where she works to this day. The subject of her work is in vivo radionuclide diagnostics (application of radiopharmaceuticals into the patient’s body) with the aim of imaging various organs and their morphological/functional abnormalities (skeleton, heart, thyroid gland, lungs, brain, kidneys, gallbladder, bile ducts, …) and radionuclide treatment of selected diseases (thyroid carcinoma, endocrine orbitopathy, hyperthyroidism, palliative treatment of painful bone metastases in prostate cancer). She obtained her specialization in nuclear medicine at the Slovak University of Health Sciences in Bratislava. In addition to clinical practice, he is also engaged in scientific research and participates in the education of future doctors.
Dr. Fukasová is known for her individual and human approach to patients with an emphasis on complementary therapy. She specializes in the medical application of hyperbaric oxygen therapy in multiple indications and vitamin therapy for disease prevention, but also in patients with various diagnoses, including chronic infections, oncological diseases, as a complementary treatment to reduce side effects or increase the effectiveness of standard treatments.
