Professional profile
MUDr. Martin Hrivňák, PhD., is an experienced urologist and sexologist, focusing on male sexuality, i.e. andrology. He currently works as a doctor in his own non-state urological and sexological outpatient clinic in the Ťahanovce housing estate in Košice.
Dr. Hrivňák began his medical career by obtaining the title of MUDr. at the Faculty of Medicine of the Pavol Jozef Šafárik University in Košice. During his studies, he showed an intense interest in urology, which determined his future specialization. He began his professional practice as a secondary physician at the Urology Clinic of the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Bratislava and the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Bratislava in Košice, where he devoted himself to treatment and prevention activities and gained valuable experience in the field of care for patients with urological diseases. He subsequently worked at the Urology Clinic as an assistant professor, head of department and ordinary for sexology. During his work at the Urology Clinic, he obtained a 1st degree certification in urology, an additional specialization certification in sexology and a specialization in urology at the Slovak Health University in Bratislava. He obtained the title of philosophiedoctor (PhD) in surgery at the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Bratislava in 2010.
Since 2002, he has been a member of the Committee of the Slovak Sexological Society, where he has held the position of Vice President in recent years. In addition, since 2018, he has been a member of the Committee of the Slovak Urological Society, and in recent years he has served as Chairman of the Supervisory Board of the Slovak Urological Society. In addition to work in scientific societies and clinical practice, Dr. Hrivňák is also engaged in scientific research, primarily in the field of male infertility.
Dr. Hrivňák is known for his individual approach to patients and his emphasis on the latest medical knowledge and procedures in the treatment of urological and sexological diseases, especially in the field of male sexuality. His professional knowledge and experience rank him among the leading specialists in the field of male sexology (andrology) in Slovakia.
